The Daily Word

Last night in our bible study we were reminded that facing adversity as a Christian involves trusting in God's sovereignty. We need to rely on the strength that the Lord will give to us. We can view our trials as opportunities for spiritual growth and maturity.

In Proverbs ch 3 vs 5 + 6, as Christians we are encouraged to lean on God rather than our own understanding using prayer and scripture to find peace and purpose.

In difficult times we need to rely on God’s strength. When problems expose our human weakness, we can allow Christ’s power to be made perfect in us. We can view our trials as growth. They are designed to produce steadfastness, mature faith, and perseverance, ultimately leading to spiritual maturity.

We have a wonderful Saviour who walks with us day by day. We are never alone. I'm reminded of an old chorus which said "He holds my hand Jesus holds my hand, the road may be long, BUT my Saviour is strong and He holds my hand." What a wonderful Saviour we have. He deserves our very best.
