Remembrance Sunday 2025

Today, we pause to remember.

We remember the courage of those who served,
the cost they bore,
the loved ones who waited,
the many who never returned.

We honour their sacrifice with silence,
with gratitude,
and with a commitment to seek peace,
in our own generation.

As Christians, we remember not only the fallen of war,
but also the One who laid down His life for us all.

“Greater love has no one than this:
that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13

May the God of all comfort bring peace to troubled hearts,
may Christ our Saviour heal the wounds of the past,
and may the Holy Spirit guide us to walk in the way of peace.

We will remember them.

Amen.
